Dr. Robert Mihalich specializes in advanced foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and stem cell therapy. His background as a physical therapist gives him a unique perspective on patient care. This experience allows him to guide patients through the entire recovery process, from the initial consultation to surgery and rehabilitation, to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.

To provide the highest quality care, Dr. Mihalich completed a prestigious foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. This advanced training equips him to treat complex conditions with the latest medical techniques. While his primary focus is on foot and ankle disorders, his residency at the University of Vermont also prepared him to manage a wide range of general orthopedic problems.

Dr. Mihalich has been published 11 times in peer-reviewed journals and at medical conferences, including publications in Foot and Ankle Clinics, The American Journal of Orthopaedics, and The Journal of Arthroplasty. He also frequently presents at medical grand rounds.

A native of the Detroit area, Dr. Mihalich is happy to be practicing medicine in his hometown, where he lives with his wife and two children.
